That evening, the Georgetown Revolver Club officially came to life. The founding executive team consisted of President Jack Creighton, Secretary-Treasurer Roy Robson, Range Master Paul Barbour, and Screening Officer, Police Chief Roy Haley.

On July 25th, the club adopted a constitution and by-laws to ensure the safety of its members and the surrounding community. With the groundwork established, the search for a suitable location began. The following day, the club negotiated the purchase of a parcel of land from the Fred Woods farm for $400. From that point forward, all meetings were held at this new location.

Construction of the facility, funded entirely by the members, commenced shortly after. Shares were offered on credit for $25 each, with weekly payments of $1. The building was constructed between July and December of 1957. To attract new members, advertisements were placed in local stores and newspapers.

In 1958, the club expanded and improved its facilities to allow shooting to continue throughout the winter months.

By the 1990s, the Georgetown Revolver Club had evolved into a state-of-the-art indoor shooting facility, accommodating up to seven shooters. Today, the range is equipped with NRA and ISSF regulation turning targets, high-volume ventilation, soundproof walls, and a steel-lined roof to exceed CFO range requirements. It operates year-round, providing a safe and modern environment for members.
